What Do Asparagus Taste Like

It totally depends on which type of asparagus you are tasting. In general, they have an earthy flavor, similar to broccoli and crunchy like green beans. They usually pick the flavors from the foods paired with. There are three varieties that you see in the market: green, purple, and white. Purple and white ones are on a sweeter note.

While picking them, check for long, thin, and firm spears. Thick spears are fibrous with more woody. Always wash them nicely before cooking. You can either bend them from where the light green part starts and snap OR just cut them before use.
