Why you will love this recipe

  • Easy, Quick & Low-calorie dessert– Grilled peaches without sugar are soft, juicy, charred, and sweet. You can serve them as is or with various toppings. It is a quick vegetarian fruit dessert without hassle, sugar-free, and low-calorie for the sweet tooth. I am using white peaches to grill indoor in the grill pan. It is an incredibly heavenly stone fruit dessert or snack to make on summer days.
  • Add Toppings– I added greek yogurt and sprinkled some chopped nuts while serving. However, it is completely optional. If you like to have it nut-free just eliminate nuts and serve.
  • Make-Ahead– You can grill peaches in advance and store them in the fridge for further use. It is a make-ahead dessert to serve a crowd at family dinners or on holiday gatherings.

Ingredients & notes

Ingredients to make grilled peaches.
  • Peaches– Use any variety of peaches (Red, orange, & white) for the recipe. Make sure you pick the firm but not hard and clean skin peaches to grill. Semi-soft, not soft. During grilling, fruits are cooked and get soft, so better pick firm enough to hold the shape after cooking.
  • Maple syrup– A little maple syrup with spices adds lots of aroma and caramel flavor after grilling. If you like to have without sweetener then just don’t use it.
  • Spices– Cinnamon powder, clove powder, and nutmeg give a nice aromatic and delicious taste to this low-sugar snack. You can use cinnamon powder standalone as well.
  • Toppings– Grilled fruits go very well with vanilla ice cream. But if on weight loss or camping, in both scenarios it is not the perfect option. Low-fat Greek yogurt makes a perfect substitution for ice cream and tastes amazing with peaches. I serve it with Greek yogurt, chopped nuts, and garnished with mint leaves.

Variations & Substitutions

  • Brown sugar, honey are other few options if maple syrup is not an option. Adding sweetener is needed for caramelization. It is not required, make it sweetener-free.
  • To make it a vegan dessert or snack, use vegan yogurt or vegan whipped cream.
  • To make it a nut-free dessert or snack, just eliminate nuts from this recipe and serve.
  • Nectarine or plum are other stone fruits that can be grilled and served in the same manner. Do try it.
  • Hazelnuts, candied pecans, salted pistachio, and roasted walnuts are other options for nuts.
  • Drizzle it with balsamic honey syrup as well. Grilled peaches with balsamic taste amazing.
  • Mascarpone cheese with thyme is another combination that goes very well with grilled peaches. If you like cheese then this tastes great.
