Grilled Peach Salsa

Grilled peach salsa is so tasteful with the sweetness coming from grilled peaches makes a perfect side with grilled protein or nacho chips

  • Grilling pan (or BBQ grill or oven)

Ingredients
 
 

  • 3 peaches I use white peaches, use any.
  • 1 serrano adjust heat as per taste
  • 1/4 cup red onion chopped finely
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper chopped finely, I use red bell pepper.
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped finely
  • 1 lime juice of 1 lime, almost 2 tbsp.
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Wash & clean peaches. Cut them carefully and remove the pit from other half.

  • Heat a grill pan on medium heat and lightly brush the olive oil. Now place the peaches upside down. Cook for 5-6 min or until you see the grilling marks. Flip and cook them for another 5-6 minutes.
  • Chop the grilled peaches in chunks. Add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix well. Adjust heat and salt as per taste.

  • Serve this stone fruit salsa with nachos, pita chips or any grilled protein or make Peach crostini. Just roast baguette slices and spread the salsa with burrata cheese or just as is.

Tips
  • Any variety, red, orange, or white peaches are good for grilling or making salsa.
  • Make this same stone fruit salsa using nectarines or apricots.
  • This is prepared without using tomatoes. However, if required just add ½ cup of chopped tomatoes.
  • Removing the skin is a personal choice.
  • You can use frozen or canned peaches to make salsa without grilling them.
