Equipment

  • Grilling Pan

Ingredients

  • 4 peaches I use white peaches but any other will work.
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup use honey or brown sugar if required
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • a pinch clove powder
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon pistachio any nuts will go, eliminate to make nut-free

Instructions

How to grill peaches on stovetop

  • This is the best method to make grilled peaches without a grill. Use a grilling pan or a cast-iron skillet on the stovetop. Make sure to grease the skillet slightly.
At first, cut the stone fruit in half and carefully remove the pit. Cut the peaches along the seams all the way around, twist your hand to remove the flesh, and carefully remove the pit from the other half. Use a knife to remove it.
  • Now heat a grill pan over medium heat. Grease the pan lightly with spray or olive oil.
  • Mix maple syrup, cinnamon powder, clove powder & nutmeg in a bowl. Dip the cut side of peach in the syrup and place on the hot grill pan. Let them cook for 3-5 minutes until they get grilling marks.
Flip on other side and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Transfer them on a plate.
  • Serve them with a dollop of Greek yogurt and chopped nuts. Grilled peaches are ready to enjoy with Greek yogurt & maple syrup.

BBQ grilling or campsite option

  • Once peaches are charred at one side, flip them and move them to the indirect heat when using an outdoor grill. This will continue to cook them without getting burnt.

Oven baked peaches

  • Preheat the oven at 350F, and place the peaches on a cookies sheet pan. Bake for 20-30 minutes until peaches are golden in color.

Notes

Tips
  • Brown sugar, honey are other few options if maple syrup is not an option. Adding sweetener is needed for caramelization. It is not required, make it sweetener-free.
  • To make it a vegan dessert or snack, use vegan yogurt or vegan whipped cream.
  • To make it a nut-free dessert or snack, just eliminate nuts from this recipe and serve.
  • Nectarine or plum are other stone fruits that can be grilled and served in the same manner. Do try it.
  • Hazelnuts, candied pecans, salted pistachio, and roasted walnuts are other options for nuts.
  • Drizzle it with balsamic honey syrup as well. Grilled peaches with balsamic taste amazing.
  • Mascarpone cheese with thyme is another combination that goes very well with grilled peaches. If you like cheese then this tastes great.
