Why you will love fruit salsa
- Fresh & seasonal- This fruit salsa dip is very simple to make with seasonal fresh raspberries. Its tart flavor is balanced with chilies, maple syrup & lemon juice. Raspberry has very soft skin, it mixes with other ingredients and makes a dip-like consistency.
- Healthy- Fresh fruits should be consumed every day as they provide natural sugar and micronutrients. Having said that until one consumes maintenance calories, it is difficult to indulge in fruits freely. To make it work just measure the fruit quantity and enjoy making a variety of recipes like I made strawberry cucumber salad within macros. For my tomato raspberry salsa, I measured the raspberry quantity and made it.
- Low carb- The best part of this condiment is, it is naturally low in calories, gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian. It fits easily in macro friendly diet as well. Raspberries are great anti-oxidants.

I made this recipe as written, except I am not a fan of maple flavored anything, so used honey instead. Seemed to be a little flat in flavor--added a 1/2 tsp of cumin and another 1/2 t of salt, and we had a winner!!

I'm so glad your twist turned out amazing!

A neighbor gave me a bunch of raspberries. Froze some, dehydrated some then search internet for recipes. This one caught my eye! I eyeballed most of the ingredients.
I used chipotle adobe pepper powder that I dehydrated. Lemon juice, kosher salt. I pressed about 3 garlic cloves. I used white onions because that's all I had on hand. I did add some cilantro that was dehydrated. (I make a lot of my own spices). Added cherry tomatoes & some pure maple syrup. Yummy yum yum! It's in the fridge getting cold as I write this. I may dehydrate some just to see how it turns out in powder form.

Hi Cheri,
First of all apologies for not getting back to you earlier.
I love how you improvised with the ingredients you had on hand. Curious to know how they turned out in the powder form?
